She considers movement & complimentary healing therapies to be preventative medicine, and that regular practice and self care can reconcile many imbalances and dis"eases" of the body.
In her spare time she is the co-founder, choreographer and performer with
Iron Heart Circus a cabaret, modern dance and circus troupe which donates part of it’s proceeds from each event they host to Breast Cancer Research through the Save-the-Tatas Foundation.
Carrie's certifications include a 500hr PYT (professional yoga therapist) and 200hr RYT certification through Integrative Yoga Therapy, her Pilates mat and reformer certifications are from the highly respected Power Pilates Institute, and she is currently completing an apprenticeship in the GYROTONIC® method of exercise. In addition, Carrie holds certifications in Prenatal Yoga, Thai Bodywork and Reiki. Aside from movement classes and leading workshops and retreats in the New England area and abroad, Carrie trains future yoga teachers in 200hr & 500hr Rasamaya® Yoga TeacherTraining programs. When she is home in Dover, Carrie devotes most of her time to seeing clients for private consultations and she specializes in creating programs for those with medical concerns, injury rehabilitation, and structural issues.
